UMLand Bhd (“UMLand”) was among the big winners at the Property Insight Prestigious Developer Awards (PIPDA) 2017 held by Property Insight on 5 May 2017 at Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
UMLand walked away with Best Livable Township Development for Mahkota Hills and was recognised as Top 10 Developers.
“When developing this township, we took into consideration the need for affordable homes in the market and the discerning needs of our Gen Y buyers. We are therefore heartened that Albury at Mahkota Hills has been recognised with Best Livable Township Development,” said Benjamin Lee, Head of Subsidiary, UMLand Mahkota Hills. “In addition, being recognised as Top 10 Developers is a testament that our hard work and effort in delivering quality affordable homes but without compromising on quality of construction have paid off.”
This is UMLand’s fourth win for PIPDA. In 2015, it won Best Luxury Landed Development for The Apex, Putra Hill Residency, Bandar Seri Putra. In 2016, it was recognised as Top 10 Developers.

PIPDA works as an independent bi-partisan professional body with the broadest possible involvement in the property industry. Top developers deserving of their titles were acknowledged for their excellence hard work and remarkable effort in this industry. More than 134 entries were received this year, from a wide range of public and private companies of all sizes in this industry region in Malaysia.
PIPDA 2017 was presented in more than 32 categories, including Best Hi-Rise Development, Best Luxury Landed Development, Best Facilities Development, Best Landscape Developments Development, Outstanding Developers, Top 10 Developers, Leadership Excellence Award, Personality of The Year and more. During the period given from 1 January until 31 March, all the respective categories were open for nomination from public at www.pipda.com.my.
PIPDA 2017 is presented by Property Insight, Malaysia’s No.1 property magazine. This event is an annually held award honouring excellence on the developers. The gala dinner received overwhelming response and support from the experts of this industry. Over 600 guests graced the event with their presence.
PIPDA 2017 was officiated by Guest of Honour YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup and YB Senator Dato’ Sri Devamany A/L S Krishnasamy, Ministers and Deputy Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department, along with YB Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar Bin Mohamad Diah, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
