According to Meraki Land’s Chief Executive Officer Justin Ong, The Como is not a project meant for investment or to generate rental income. It is a home intended for families to bond and enjoy life together.

“Home is not just a place for you to stay at for the next 10 years. It’s to create memories. Living is not about rushing from place to place. It’s about living with your loved ones. Live in a place that has heart in it.”

Even The Como’s facilities were carefully chosen to help families bond together and make unforgettable memories. Kids can sing along with their moms and dads in the karaoke room, or they can cook together with their grandparents at the barbecue deck or the communal baking centre – a unique amenity in the development. There is also a playground and pool for children, while adults can keep fit at the sky gym or unwind at the yoga deck.

Another attractive feature at the development is its free storage space for all homeowners. Ong, who places great importance on space, revealed that each unit owner will get storage space near their respective parking lot that can accommodate extra furniture, containers and even up to three bicycles. In particular, residents at The Como’s low rise wing will be entitled to extra storage space as large as a hotel room.

Aside from being family-oriented, the project also aims to strengthen community ties. For instance, there is a 600-metre landscape trail across three levels that is ideal for leisurely stroll with friends, family or neighbours. The barbecue area on Level 36 is suited for large occasions, while the one on Level 38 is ideal for smaller family gatherings.

Aside from free WiFi, the condominium houses a co-working space so that residents will never have to leave their home for work. With this facility, they will able to call their colleagues or hold meetings via skype and google hangouts. This is an important amenity as more people are expected to work at home in the future given the rapid advancements in technology.

For greater convenience, The Como will be equipped with a coin automated launderette so residents can wash their clothes, curtains, bedsheets without the need to travel far.

Asked on how they will ensure that there will be enough funds to maintain the projects numerous facilities, Ong said the solution lies on the project’s retail component. The 10 shops located on the ground floor comprising mainly F&B outlet will contribute a part of their rent for monthly maintenance cost and sinking funds.

Aside from that, 57 extra parking bays will be rented out. Not only will this fulfil the need of people requiring additional parking space, the cash generated by this will also be used to defray upkeep.

Despite its quiet and peaceful location within a 3.1-acre site in Mukim Petaling, the development is well-connected. The nearest major road is the Shah Alam Expressway or KESAS highway, whereas the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) is close by as well. The Subang Jaya township is a 20-minute car ride away, while the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) is less than 13km.

Furthermore, residents don’t have to worry over finding a school for their children are there are a plethora of local schools within a 5km radius, and Sri Kuala Lumpur private school in Subang is merely a 20-minute journey.

There is also a plethora of institutions offering tertiary education within the vicinity, including prestigious colleges like Monash University, Sunway University, Metropolitan College and Taylors University. Aside from having many eateries, the neighbourhood is home to the Sime Darby Medical Centre (SJMC).
