PR1MA housing

State Housing, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo has revealed plans to build 1Malaysia People’s Housing Project (PR1MA) in Penang after it has been rebranded to Harapan Malaysia People’s Housing, reported Bernama.

In fact, Jagdeep had already made the proposal for the name change to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

Jagdeep noted that they have identified three locations for the projects – “Gelugor and Batu Feringhi on the island and Permatang Pauh on the mainland”.

According to him, the Barisan Nasional government has promised to build 999 PR1MA units in Penang, but “not even a single unit was completed”.

Meanwhile, the state government of Penang plans to build the 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing (PPA1M) given that the state does not have any PPA1M projects.
