Buyers of the first affordable home project of Berjaya Golf Resort Bhd, Berjaya Land Bhd’s subsidiary, can look forward to a new beginning as they have received the keys to their respective units.

Dubbed Residensi Lanai, the 29-storey condominium sits on a 2.56-acre site in Bukit Jalil and comes with a five-storey podium car park. It features 648 units of three-bedders with two bathrooms.

The project was launched as a Federal Territories Affordable Housing Project (RUMAWIP) in 2017.

“One of the key indicators of a country’s progress is its provision of sustainable housing and adequate infrastructure for its citizens. In this regard, under the National Housing Policy, various programmes have been introduced to provide more homeownership opportunities for Malaysians, especially first homebuyers,” said Berjaya Land CEO Syed Ali Shahul Hameedin after the key handover ceremony.

It was also revealed that Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Executive Chairman of Berjaya Corp Bhd, pledged to contribute 20 acres of land at Bestari Jaya in Selangor to the Housing and Local Government Ministry for the construction of more affordable homes.

Syed Ali noted that Berjaya Land’s other affordable housing projects in the pipeline can be found in Selangor’s Shah Alam and Subang Heights as well as in Penang.

Residensi Lanai is situated within the bustling township of Bukit Jalil, surrounded by established neighbourhoods such as Old Klang Road and Sri Petaling.

It enjoys easy access to major highways like the Maju Expressway and Damansara-Puchong Expressway. It is also well-served by public transportation, including Light Rail Transit train services and the Rapid KL bus.

The freehold development is also near sporting and recreational facilities like the Bukit Jalil Recreational Park and the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex.
