KUALA LUMPUR – S P Setia Foundation, the charity arm of S P Setia Berhad, handed over 20 wheelchairs to the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre (MPEC) yesterday. The ceremony, held at the MPEC, saw Adelene Wong, Management Committee of S P Setia Foundation and Head of Group Branding & Communications for S P Setia Berhad, presenting the wheelchairs to Mohd Sofian Hamzah, Director of Paralympic Division, National Sports Council of Malaysia.
This significant initiative is part of the Foundation’s ‘Sincerely Setia Healthcare & Well- Being Assistance Programme’, dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and communities across Malaysia.
Adelene Wong, Management Committee of S P Setia Foundation and S P Setia’s Head of Group Branding & Communications, expressed the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility, stating, “S P Setia Foundation is dedicated to creating a positive impact and addressing critical social issues in our communities. We firmly believe in our role as an enabler for change, regardless of the size.”

In addition to the wheelchair handover, goodie bags containing toiletries sponsored by Amari Kuala Lumpur and Setia branded batik pouches were also contributed to the National Sports Council as tokens of appreciation.
The collaboration between S P Setia Foundation and Majlis Sukan Negara Malaysia marks an important step towards ensuring inclusivity and support for athletes with disabilities.
