The highly awaited MIEA National Real Estate Awards (NREA) is back again, as to give recognition to the outstanding performers and achievers in the field of real estate throughout 2015.

Presented annually to Real Estate Agents (REA), Real Estate Firms and Real Estate Negotiators (REN), the awards is the most anticipated event in the industry, judged by independent judges.

The result of the Awards will be announced at the Gala Dinner, which will be held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre on 1st October 2016. The event will be graced by Guest of Honour YB. Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani, Finance Minister II, in the presence of the President of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents (BOVAEA) Datuk Faizan bin Abdul Rahman.

This is the 8th year since the commencement of this prestigious award in the year 2009. It has a total of 19 categories now, whereas only 10 categories were introduced when it first started. 31 submissions were received this year and there will be more than 20 winners to be recognised, each representing the outstanding performance in different category subsequently.

Apart from the honours bestowed that night, the press coverage and national recognition they will gain through the Awards will definitely boost their business opportunities and widen their network.

Most importantly, it will strengthen public confidence, ease the recruitment for RENs and help them gain more respect among peers.

One of the more notable awards is the Million Dollar Roof Top award, presented to Estate Agents who have in their personal capacity collected a minimum of RM1 million in professional fees in 2015. Three recipients will be sharing the award this year which is a recognition for the top talents in the industry.

Meanwhile, The Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented to the personality that contributed significantly to the growth and development of the Real Estate Agency industry over the years.

The award ceremony will be held on 1 October 2016, at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.
