Botanica.ct Township Reshaping the Future of Balik Pulau

PENANG – MTT Properties & Development Sdn Bhd is commencing the construction of its latest commercial development, Botanica CT Centre (BCC), in Balik Pulau.

This new commercial development in Botanica.CT will consist of an 80,000-square feet of first supermarket which is TF Value-Mart, first KFC drive-thru restaurant, and first Starbucks drive-thru in Balik Pulau as well as 22 units shop offices. The participation of these iconic brands will enhance BCC’s potential as the future commercial landmark of Balik Pulau while providing an attractive amenity to the surrounding residents. The first and second phase for the hypermarket and drive-thru restaurant will be completed in 12 months.

The double-storey shop offices will offer other retail options for this commercial precinct. It is expected to bring in retail businesses such as F&B outlets, beauty salons, convenient stores etc. The shop lots are estimated to be open for sale early this year.

Speaking at its groundbreaking ceremony, Dato’ Seri Kenny Ong, Group Executive Chairman of MTT Group of Companies, said, “Botanica CT Centre will be the new heartbeat of Balik Pulau. When we embarked on this project, creating new employment opportunities to the residents of the local community was always an intrinsic part of our vision. With the commercial portion of our development coming to fruition, this vision is slowly but surely becoming a reality.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Hj. Ahmad Zakiyuddin Abdul Rahman, Penang Deputy Chief Minister I, representing Chow Kon Yeow Penang Chief Minister. Also present at the ceremony were,Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, Managing Director of QSR Brands, Mr Sydney Quays Group CEO of Berjaya Food Berhad and Mr Ho Mun Hao Chief Executive Officer of TF Value-Mart.

Also attended were YB Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim Haji Hussain Penang State Exco for Domestic & International Trade, Consumer Affairs & Entrepreneurship Development, YB Haji Mohd Tuah Ismail Pulau Betong Assemblyman and YB Zolkifly Md Lazim Telok Bahang Assemblyman.

Strategically located at the intersection of Jalan Sungai Rusa and Jalan Sungai Air Putih. BCC is part of the Botanica.CT garden township located in Balik Pulau where existing completed developments consist of terrace houses, semi-detached houses, bungalows, Botanica Mansion and the Prince of Wales Island International School. Botanica.CT also has its own Auxiliary Police, which was launched officially in year 2017, for patrolling the community to oversee safety and security.
