Kempas is a suburb in Johor Bahru, Johor. It is also within the Pulai parliamentary constituency. Kempas is separated to two parts, Kempas Baru and Kempas Lama. Kempas was previously colonized by the Japanese army. Kempas got its name from a strong type of wood. There are many rivers and chilly plantations around Kempas. Travelling to and from Kempas is quite convenient due to the highways that connect it to other areas like Singapore and Johor Bahru.
