Country Garden, a Top 10 real estate developer in China, teams up with Johor’s Esplanade Danga 88 Sdn Bhd to jointly develop Forest City.

Forest City’s Sales Gallery was opened to the public in Q1 2016, while the Forest City Kuala Lumpur International Sales Gallery was recently opened in Q4 2016. Following this, a 2-day exclusive tour to explore Forest City was held recently.

Forest City is one of the biggest investment projects by Country Garden Group, which has a GDV of USD100 billion.

The project adopts a multi-layered design and features vertical greening facades and parks without vehicles. It is developed with a green construction standard for sustainable development, representing a model for a low-carbon and a green eco-city.

Forest City is Country Garden’s 3rd project in Malaysia after Dagang Bay in Johor City Centre and Diamond City in Semenyih.

“Currently, the sales result is tremendously well as there are about 300 to 800 visitors daily. The buyers are mainly from countries such as China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Europe and America,” said Director of Sales Jacky Zhang.

Following the opening of Forest City KL Sales Gallery, more sales galleries will be opened overseas, in countries namely Taiwan, Burma, Dubai and Indonesia.

“Besides that, eight key industries such as Healthcare, Education and Training, Tourism and Mice, Regional Headquarters, Emerging Technology, Near shore Finance, E-commence, as well as Green and Smart Industry will be incorporated into the development of Forest City,” he added further.

According to Jacky Zhang, Chinese buyers were given priority to purchase the units beforehand due to the background of Country Garden – which is based in China. However, he denied the rumour of ‘buy one free one’ package.
