According to the HCK Capital Group executive chairman Tan Sri Clement Hii, instead of selling mere houses, the firm will now focus on selling lifestyles homes. This will interest young homebuyers who expect more than just a roof over their heads.
Thus, to make it a reality, the firm has identified three interesting themes for its future developments. The identified themes are ocean life, education and entertainment.
“Buyers prefer concept-based living these days. Hence, why we are focusing on developing specific lifestyle-themed homes,” he added.
In terms of an education theme, the firm is in the midst of planning two townships dubbed H Educity @ Setia Alam and H Educity @ Cyberjaya, which have a total gross development value (GDV) of RM3.1 billion.
H Educity @ Setia Alam will feature The Peninsula School, from Melbourne, Australia. Meanwhile, H Educity @ Cyberjaya will feature a new campus for the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences.
As for the ocean themed project namely Aquacity, the firm is planning projects in Mont Kiara and Petaling Jaya. These projects will feature the display of marine life such as the coral reefs and aquatic life in giant aquariums.
Meanwhile, the entertainment themed developments will have a theme park. However, the entertainment themed developments are still in the midst of planning and will be announced later on.
For now, the HCK Group of Companies has a combined GDV of RM8 billion for projects that will be launched over the next three years.
