APEA 2016 Presented Outstanding Leadership Award to Datuk Wira Joey

The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (APEA) 2016 recently presented LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) Executive Director, Datuk Wira Joey Lim Hock Guan, with an award for his outstanding leadership in the construction, property and building materials industry.

“It is an honour to be recognised among the industry’s most influential and respectable figures. I thank APEA for the award and the LBS family for their tireless support. I am indeed thankful for the opportunity,” said LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) Executive Director, Datuk Wira Joey Lim Hock Guan.

Speaking about the future and Malaysia’s aspiring entrepreneurs, Datuk Wira Joey emphasised the importance of being bold and confident, and being able to present one’s point of view while remaining humble enough to continue learning from more experienced individuals.

Following an in-depth search and selection process, Datuk Wira Joey was among 43 other elite captains of industry who were hand-picked and awarded at the APEA 2016. The nominations APEA received were analysed to identify if the entrepreneurs and companies displayed an evident entrepreneurial spirit with proven track records of strong business growth.

Other key criteria included the practice of responsible entrepreneurship, market competitiveness, leadership qualities, innovation of products and services, vision and strategic direction, technology advancement, peer and industry recognition, investment in people as well as local and global impact.

Datuk Wira Joey has contributed significantly to the development of several high-profile development projects, which include the award-winning flagship township, Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP) with recognitions received at the Asia Pacific Property Awards (APPA) in 2015, and the recent South East Asia Property Awards 2016.

Other developments include the D’ Island Residence, won the APPA in 2013 and the Telok Gong Industrial Park. He currently oversees the implementation of the well-received Desiran Bayu residential project in Puchong and the development of Alam Awana Industrial Park in Shah Alam.

Furthermore, he is equally passionate about is his involvement with charitable foundations. His passion and dedication to contribute to the growth of the nation led him to be more involved with various community groups.
