Now that Malaysians are embracing the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) in line with the improving COVID-19 situation in the country, the property market itself is adjusting to the new normal of life where prospective buyers have started preparing themselves by looking for opportunities in real estate.
With expectations for property prices to fall during this virus pandemic, property hunters have been on the lookout for some of the best deals offered by developers from online platforms while the nation stayed at home in recent months.
And to add icing to this situation, in May, the third Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) reduction made by Bank Negara Malaysia saw the OPR rate cut to 1.75%, making it the lowest since 2009/2010.
With that in mind, an incremental increase in property search was seen as this scenario benefits both a large number of new people looking to buy a property as well as looking to invest.
