S P Setia’s Property North Division kick-started the Chinese New Year 2018 celebrations with its latest eco-themed township, Setia Fontaines hosting a splendid open house at the Auto City in Juru over the weekend.
The event saw a huge turnout of 1,000 guests from all walks of life. More than half of the guests had earlier registered for the ‘Giant Lou Shang’ event for a chance to partake in the traditional tossing of yee sang displayed on huge tables. The first 300 guests who turned up also received special gifts.
True to S P Setia’s LiveLearnWorkPlay development philosophy, the festive celebration held for the first time by Setia Fontaines was attended by guests of all creeds and races. In his welcoming speech, General Manager for Setia Fontaines, Ricky Yeo was happy to acknowledge that the true spirit of Malaysian togetherness was evident at the event. “It is truly heart-warming to see so many young and senior members of the community come together for this celebration,” he said.
The night saw many entertaining performances including the Chinese orchestra, acrobatic and traditional dances as well as a traditional ‘Si Chuan’ mask changing production which saw two mask changing individuals performing in synchrony. “Usually done by a sole individual, this particular performance was choreographed to be performed in a pair in line with our theme this year which is the importance of togetherness,” explained an enthusiastic Yeo.
Lucky draw sessions were also conducted throughout the event which saw 26 winners walking away with gold coins. The main prize went to Ms. Lau Wen Sze who could not hide her excitement after winning a cash prize of RM2,018.
Yeo highlighted that this year will see Setia Fontaines conduct a rally celebration which will run from 3 February – 3 March 2018. For those who missed the lucky draw session at the event, they still stand a chance to win gold bars weighing 10 grams and gold coins on the last day of the celebration as another session will be conducted at the same venue.
Yeo also took the opportunity to introduce Setia Fontaines, the upcoming new project by S P Setia in Seberang Prai. Sprawled on 1,675 acres of land, Setia Fontaines sits on an excellent location and is easily accessible via the North South Highway on the left and the train line (KTM station) on the right.
