Rehda Selangor records RM7.2b sales under Home Ownership Campaign

The Selangor Real Estate & Housing Developers’Association (Rehda Selangor) has reached RM7.2 billion in sales from January to October under the Home Ownership Campaign ending on 31 December.

All in all, 11,000 units were sold, with the terraced units being the most popular. Rehda Selangor chairman Zulkifly Garib explained the figure incorporates sales of completed units and projects under construction.

“It (the figure of RM7.2bil) does not just include overhang units,” he said as reported by The Star.

Zulkifly also revealed that Selangor had the highest sales among all the states.

“The figure would be higher than RM7.2 billion because there are developers who did not participate in the campaign but who saw good sales over the campaign period,” he said.

The Home Ownership campaign, which started on 1 January and officially launched in March, had developers organising ownership campaigns throughout Malaysia at state levels, offering a 10 percent discount for completed units, stamp duty waivers and other incentives.
