Sime Darby Property Bhd kicked off its first project in the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 development with XME Business Park’s groundbreaking.
XME Business Park spans 69.72 acres of freehold land in Nilai Impian, Negeri Sembilan. It will be the first managed industrial park in the area.
Datuk Wan Hashimi Albakri, acting group CEO of Sime Darby Property, noted that the park is strategically situated at the gateway of Negeri Sembilan as well as Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0, reported The Edge.
“We are confident of the park doing well due to its great location and the impending enhancements to the infrastructure with major projects such as the East Coast Railway Line,” he said.
The park, which comprises 149 units, has a gross development value (GDV) of RM520 million.
It will be developed in two phases, with Phase 1 featuring 75 units of semi-detached and detached types. Built-up areas for units will range from 5,600 sq ft to 29,000 sq ft, while prices range from RM2.5 million to RM18.5 million.
With a GDV of RM307 million, Phase 1 is expected to be completed by November 2021.
“So far, half of the first phase has been taken up within a month of its soft launch with interest pouring in from different business industries,” said Sime Darby Property.
