Subang Jaya – Avaland continues to enhance community well-being and solidify its environmental stewardship programme at Lakefront, Cyberjaya.
Partnering with the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF), the developer continued its complimentary health screenings at Avaland Show Village @ Lakefront, Cyberjaya recently. Highlighting proactive community health initiatives, these screenings include BMI measurements, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose tests, and urine analysis, crucial for early detection of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Private health counselling sessions by NKF’s esteemed Department of Public Education, were also provided to empower residents with knowledge on kidney-related health concerns for effective intervention and management.
Ms. Khor Xin Yun, CEO of NKF, stressed the significance of their ongoing partnership with Avaland in community health education and free health screenings. “We are pleased to collaborate with Avaland to continually raise awareness about kidney-related diseases and offer accessible health screenings to communities. Regular screenings for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases are crucial for detecting their often-asymptomatic early stages, essential for prevention and timely intervention,” she emphasized, highlighting their joint commitment to advancing community health.

Avaland’s community health-programme aims to conduct over 2,000 health screenings, starting with the first session held at Avaland Gallery @ Bangi back in May. In their commitment to improving community health, Avaland had also pledged vital signs monitoring devices with ECG and Oxygen Saturation (SPO2) capabilities to all NKF Dialysis Centres in the Klang Valley earlier this year. These devices will aid healthcare professionals in monitoring patients during dialysis, ensuring prompt detection and management of any complications that may arise.
Alongside the health-screening program, Avaland completed a significant tree planting initiative over the past weeks at Lakefront, as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental enhancement. Over 200 trees were planted at Lakefront’s Central Park as part of the Avaland Project Green Plan, which prioritizes native species. This effort aims not only to boost the area’s aesthetics but also to improve air quality, promoting a healthier environment for residents.
At the tree-planting finale event held last week, Apollo Bello Tanco (Pol), CEO of Avaland, emphasized the dual impact of these efforts on community health and environmental sustainability. “At Avaland, we understand the vital link between healthy communities and a vibrant environment.
