Visitors to Kepong Metropolitan Park can look forward to a mud-free new entrance that was built by a developer with a project near the recreational park.
Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng revealed that Wawasan Metro Bina Sdn Bhd, developer of Mizumi Residences, undertook the landscaping project, reported The Star.
“The developer and contractor undertook this as a corporate social responsibility project,” said Lim at the unveiling of the entrance and walkway.
“The access was previously a muddy and uneven track. There was a suggestion for the developer to upgrade and beautify the entrance, to which they agreed.”
Dubbed Mizumi Walkway, the RM100,000 project featured a 60m landscaped walkway and shelter, said Ken Moo, Senior Manager at Wawasan Metro Bina Sdn Bhd.
“It took our contractor about one-and-a-half months to complete the project, after which it will be handed to Kuala Lumpur City Hall for maintenance,” said Moo.
“While the entrance is built on private land, access is open to both residents and the public.”
Overlooking Kepong Metropolitan Park, Mizumi Residences comprises three 42-storey condominium blocks.
